Introduction
The following information is intended for individuals who wish to join the club as a full member to understand, at the outset, the pros and cons of becoming a member and the responsibilities that attend such membership.
What is Huddersfield Rifle Club?
It is first and foremost a TARGET RIFLE & F-CLASS RIFLE CLUB. It is also a private members club which operates under the auspices of the Home Office and the National Rifle Association.
As we are a strict target shooting club we do not allow sporting rifles or tactical rifles.
If you are only interested in shooting a sporting or tactical rifle then there may be other clubs that can better cater for your needs. Huddersfield Rifle Club does not accept members who only wish to become involved in these aspects of shooting and express no or little interest in regularly practising and becoming proficient at Competitive target rifle shooting.
If you have an unspent criminal conviction you will not be allowed to hold a firearms certificate and there is little point in applying to become a probationary member.
